　　早年在澳大利亚广播公司任职，长期从事纪录片制作并担任该公司驻外时政记者。1978年，他与罗宾·安德森联手合作，在接下来的25年间创作了一连串享

有国际盛名的优秀纪录片。直到2002年，罗宾·安德森突然辞世，他们的合作才被迫终止。

　　他们最具盛名的作品是《高地三部曲》：“第一次接触”，“乔雷伊的邻居们”；以及“黑色收获”。这三部作品是在战火纷飞的巴布亚新几内亚拍摄的，共赢得了世界范围内30个奖项，其中包括“第一次接触”的奥斯卡奖提名。

　　鲍勃与罗宾的后一部作品，“阶级老鼠”深度考察了澳大利亚的政治状况，该片大受好评，在澳大利亚各影院持续上映了近5个月。他们最近一部作品“面对音乐”着重记录了当下澳大利亚大学中的一些危机问题。

　　Bob Connolly spent his formative years at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, working as a foreign correspondent, current affairs reporter and documentary film maker. In 1978 he teamed up with Robin Anderson and the pair worked together for the next quarter century, producing a string of internationally acclaimed documentaries until Robin’s untimely death in 2002.

　　First up was the“Highlands Trilogy”–“First Contact”,“Joe Leahy’s Neighbors”and“Black Harvest”. Shot over ten years in the remote and war torn Highlands of Papua New Guinea, these 3 films between them won 30 awards, including an Academy Award nomination for First Contact.

　　Their next film–a study of Australian politics called“Rats in the Ranks”–ran 5 months in Australian cinemas. Their last film was“Facing the Music”, documenting the crisis in Australian universities.

　　Connolly published his first book–“The Fight for the Franklin”in 1982 and“First Contact”–New Guinea’s Highlanders Encounter the Outside World (with Anderson) in 1987. His latest book,“Making Black Harvest”, has one several major Australian literary awards. Connolly is working on his fourth book, a study of documentary film making, centered on Rats in the Ranks.
