谭盾

　　作曲/指挥家

　　对于全球的音乐爱好者来说，谭盾无疑是一面东方现代文化的旗帜，为中西文化的融汇铺设了桥梁。谭盾已赢得当今最具影响和众望的世界各大音乐奖项，其中包括

格文美尔古典作曲大奖、格莱美大奖和奥斯卡最佳原创音乐奖，并被美国音乐协会授予“年度最佳作曲家”，还被凤凰卫视等全球最重要的十家华文媒体评为2006年影响世界的十位华人之一。2007年11月，在瑞典首都斯德哥尔摩的“诺贝尔奖·金色大厅”将举行为期2周的谭盾音乐回顾展,演出他的室内乐、交响乐及歌剧等近15部作品。

　　谭盾现任北京2008奥运会音乐策划,他自2000年起便参与了北京申奥影片的音乐创作。目前，他正忙于北京奥运的标志音乐和颁奖音乐的策划以及奥运主题歌的策划与创意。谭盾曾被聘为伦敦巴比肯艺术中心“火与水”国际艺术节艺术总监（2000年），美国坦戈伍（Tanglewood）国际现代音乐节艺术总监（1999年）。明年，他将出任奥迪“中国夏季音乐节”艺术总监。2009年，他将再次出任伦敦“火与水”国际艺术节艺术总监。

　　As a conceptual and multifaceted composer/conductor, Tan Dun has made an indelible mark on the world's music scene with a creative repertoire that spans the boundaries of classical, multimedia, Eastern and Western musical systems. A winner of today's most prestigious honors—the Grawemeyer Award for his opera Marco Polo, Grammy Award and Academy Award (Oscar) for the“Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”film score, and Musical America's "Composer of The Year"—Tan Dun's recent composition highlights include opera The First Emperor for the Metropolitan Opera of New York with Placido Domingo as the title role; Secret Land for the Berlin Philharmonic; Paper Concerto for The Los Angeles Philharmonic; The Map: Concerto for Cello, Video and Orchestra for Yo Yo Ma and the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

　　In two week-long celebration of Tan Dun in November 2007, the Stockholm International Composers Festival in Stockholm Sweden along with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, will present many of Tan Dun's milestone compositions. Tan Dun’s current commissions include a new work for pianist Lang Lang and the New York Philharmonic to premiere in April 2008.

　　Based in New York, Tan Dun was born in Hunan, China. Tan Dun was the music director of the Tanglewood Contemporary Music Festival in 1999 and artistic director of the London Barbican Centre’s international festival in 2000.Tan Dun has been nominated as the music planner for the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. Tan Dun has composed music for Beijing Olympic Bid Film, currently he is planning and creating the music and songs for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
