作为中国唯一的国际电影节，由国家广播电影电视总局和上海市人民政府主办的第十届上海国际电影节将于6月16日（周六）至6月24日（周日）盛大开幕。本届电影节将凸显多元、务实、亲民的特点：73个国家和地区的895部影片报名参赛，多元文化在此碰撞和交融；单独设立的电影市场强化了电影节的交易功能，中外电影交易、最具特色中国影视拍摄基地展以及合拍片项目洽谈架构完整，内容丰富；金爵论坛则从国

际电影节对世界电影多元文化拓展与营销的功能展开并延伸，籍此体现电影节在整个电影产业发展中的追求与责任；国际影片展映全面实现联网售票和梯度票价，让更多的观众亲近电影、回归影院。总之，本届电影节在形式与内容上都有革新和突破，将办成一届华丽璀璨的电影盛会。

　　第十届上海国际电影节主体活动

　　本届电影节的主体活动包括“金爵”奖国际影片评选、国际影视节目市场、国际影片展映、“金爵”国际电影论坛及亚洲新人奖评选，以及盛大炫目的上海国际电影节开闭幕式。

　　1、开闭幕式

　　本届电影节开闭幕式将于2007年6月16日在上海大剧院举行。届时，约有200多位中外影星将走上星光大道，红地毯上群星璀璨，将充分展现出本届电影节的绚丽、多元、互融、和谐。

　　闭幕式将于2007年6月24日晚在上海大剧院举行，重量级嘉宾共同揭晓“金爵奖”各奖项得主并颁奖；放映闭幕式影片。

　　2、“金爵”奖国际影片评选

　　截至目前，组委会共收到来自73个国家和地区的895部报名影片，其中中国影片95部，影片报名的国家和地区数量以及报名影片数量双双创下了历届之最。其中包括戛纳、柏林、威尼斯以及奥斯卡、恺撒奖等获奖的影片，也有独立制作的低成本及实验性电影。由组委会选片委员会负责从所有报名影片中精选17部影片作为正式参赛影片。金爵奖的常设奖项为8项：金爵奖最佳影片、评委会大奖、最佳导演、最佳女演员、最佳男演员、最佳编剧、最佳摄影、最佳音乐。各奖项的最终获奖名单，将在6月24日晚的颁奖典礼暨闭幕式上当众揭晓。

　　7位著名电影人将组成国际评选委员会，中国顶级导演将担任评委会主席，评委会的所有成员均获得过包括奥斯卡，戛纳、柏林等国际电影节在内的重要奖项。

　　3、电影市场

　　为推动电影产业的繁荣和发展，提升上海国际电影节的核心竞争力，本届电影节将设立电影交易市场。市场共有三个组成部分：电影交易（6月17－19日），展区分为中国电影展区和国际交易展区；最具特色中国影视拍摄基地展（6月17－20日）；合拍片项目洽谈（6月21－23日）。

　　作为电影产业不可分割的一个组成部分，影视拍摄基地和中国影视开始步入产业化发展阶段。国际电影制片商日益重视中国影视拍摄基地在拍摄成本上的巨大优势，本届电影节的“中国影视拍摄基地展”展馆，将汇聚中国最具魅力的中国影视拍摄基地。

　　目前，组委会已邀请到数十位国际电影买家，以及中国各专业电影频道及中国香港、中国台湾、日本、马来西亚、泰国、新加坡、印度、新西兰、缅甸、巴基斯坦、印度尼西亚等国家和地区的电视买家。除此以外，新媒体买家和航空公司买家也将加入其中。

　　4、国际影片展映

　　以上海影城为展映活动的主会场，国际电影展映为使观众亲近艺术，回归影院，拟在原有19家25个放映厅的基础上，增加到21家影院27个放映厅。

　　结合电影节十届庆典，设立“向大师致敬”单元，日本电影大师黑泽明的3部经典影片、西班牙佩德罗·阿尔莫多瓦6部佳作和已故意大利著名男演员马塞洛·马斯楚安尼传世之作，以及中国诗意现实主义电影《马路天使》等影片将专题展映。此外，还将推出“中国新片展”、“日本呈现”、“风情巴西”、“西班牙经典”等。

　　电影频道“传媒大奖”将聚焦中国新片，电影节期间将特设专厅和固定时段使中外记者共同参与中国影片的评选，共同推动中国电影产业发展。

　　此外，首次设立中国影片观众奖（评选展映的中国电影）、国际影片观众奖（评选展映的境外电影）。同时，继续实行更为灵活、优惠的梯度票价，让观众享受多元、多样的世界电影的艺术魅力，将在所有21家指定影院进行联网售票。

　　5、金爵国际电影论坛及亚洲新人奖评选

　　“金爵”国际论坛将继续关注中国电影、亚洲电影与国际资本和机构的合作，继续打造论坛平台的交流作用，使其成为沟通电影业界、学界、媒介之间联系的平台。由“主题论坛”、“电影大师班”和“亚洲新人奖”评选等三个部分组成。主动承担起为国际国内电影人提供专业服务功能，并力求将这种专业服务建立在一个国际标准的水准，这也已经成为上海国际电影节区别于其他同类电影节的特色之一。在这种追求驱动下，今年论坛呈现出“权威、多元、务实”的特点。

　　权威：本届适逢上海国际电影节第十届，作为对十届电影节的历史梳理、对国际电影节的功能思考，本届论坛力邀国际上卓有影响力并各具特色的电影节主席聚集论坛，与中国及亚洲的导演一起探讨目前世界电影格局中，国际电影节对世界电影多元文化的推广与责任。前来参加这一论坛的有柏林（Berlin International Film Festival）、威尼斯国际电影节（Venice International Film Festival）、釜山国际电影节（Pusan International Film Festival）、东京国际电影节（Tokyo International Film Festival）、翠贝卡国际电影节（Tribeca Film Festival）、鹿特丹国际电影节（Rotterdam International Film Festival）、圣丹斯国际电影节（Sundance Independent Film Festival）、迪拜国际电影节（Dubai International Film Festival）、夏威夷国际电影节（Hawaii International Film Festival）的主席。

　　多元：论坛继续拓展电影节的功能，为业界提供专业的增值服务。本届“金爵”国际电影论坛关注电影资本运作的各个方面，并将从运作的各个层面展开讨论：即电影的前期投资与合作，电影的营销、发行等。以十个国际电影节主席的高峰会议拉开序幕，从国际电影节对世界电影多元文化拓展与营销的功能展开并延伸。通过合拍片论坛关注并体现论坛的文化责任——如何建构好莱坞及世界电影多元文化并存的格局，商业大片与独立制片互补的世界电影市场文化？以合拍片作为一种解决方案，都将在本届“合拍论坛”上呈现，籍此体现电影节在整个电影产业发展中的追求与责任。

　　务实：今年的论坛将为电影从业人员、入行的年轻导演、正准备入行的有志学生提供“合拍片项目洽谈暨中国电影项目创投会”、“亚洲新人奖”以及“国际学生短片展评”。这些活动分别纳入“主题论坛”单元、“亚洲新人奖单元”以及“电影大师班”单元。论坛正努力通过这些活动打造上海国际电影节的独特品牌影响力。目前，这些活动中，中外合拍片项目的质量明显超过去年，国际学生短片展评单元短时间内吸引到来自世界各地近200部影片，而通过“电影大师班”论坛还将为这些报名参赛选手提供曾经成功将学生作品送往奥斯卡并获大奖、与美国业界巨头斯皮尔伯格、卢卡斯等有着深厚渊源的美国南加州大学影视学院的院长为年轻学生及他们的老师作专业的培训。

　　红地毯上的璀璨夺目、影院银幕上的佳片纷呈、电影市场商家的如约而至、参赛参展电影的丰富多样、论坛理念的砥砺碰撞、评奖揭晓的翘楚期待----将尽情展现第十届上海国际电影节的内涵和魅力，成为上海初夏六月中令人难忘的一道文化风景。

　　The 10th Shanghai International Film Festival

　　Being the only A category international film festival in China and an important one in Asia, Shanghai International Film Festival will grandly celebrate its 10th anniversary from June 16th to 24th, and once again welcomes the new era of opportunities for Chinese films.

　　This year’s Film Festival, underlining internationalization, authorization and popularity, distinguishes itself by several highlights and draws massive attentions from both professional and general society, By emphasizing the merge of Chinese film industry development with the innovative infrastructure, pursuing committee’s authorities and professionalism, stressing on market regulations and its opening-ups, elevating the forum’s practical use and frontline feature, enhancing audience attendance and having a breakthrough from both style and content, this year’s Film Festival presents a magnificent gathering of international films and a banquet of visual arts.

　　Highlights of the 10th International Film Festival

　　The 10th Shanghai International Film Festival consists of Jin Jue International Film Competition, International Film Mart, International Film Panorama, Jin Jue Film Forum and Asian New Talent Award, and amazing Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

　　1) Opening and Closing Ceremony

　　This year’s opening ceremony will be held at Shanghai Grand Theatre on June 16th, 2007. As for now, superstars like Sharon Stone have already accepted the invitation to attend the SIFF. The Red Carpet will gather stars from all around the world to present SIFF with magnificence, diversity, communication and harmony.

　　The closing ceremony will also be held at Shanghai Grand Theatre on June 24th, 2007. Distinguished VIP guests will announce and present“Jin Jue”Awards for all the winners and the closing film will later be screened.

　　2) Jin Jue International Film Competition

　　Till now, the organizing committee of the 10th Shanghai International Film Festival has received 895 submissions from 73 countries and areas in the world, among which 95 are Chinese films. These numbers set a record of both submitted films and countries in the festival history. Of all the submissions, there are films that have already won prizes in Berlin, Cannes, Venice, Caesar and the Academy Award and films of low budget，experimental and independent as well. The selection committee has chosen 17 films to be the official candidates to compete for 8 awards, namely, Best Feature Film, Jury Prix, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Script, Best Cinematography and Best Music. All the awards will be announced at the closing ceremony on June 24th.

　　The international jury this year consists of 7 famous filmmakers, chaired by a world-renowned Chinese film director. The rest of the jury members are all international prize winners.

　　3) International Film Mart

　　In order to promote the development of film industry and to raise the competence of the city Shanghai, the 10th SIFF will establish a Film Mart, from June 17th to 23rd, 2007. The Film Mart concludes a program trade with a Chinese hall and an international hall (from June 17th–19th ), a shooting base exhibition (from June 17th to 20th ) and a co-production film trade talks (from June 21st–23rd ).

　　As an essential segment in the film chain, Chinese shooting bases have gradually stepped into a healthy developing period. More and more international film producers have recognized advantages of Chinese shooting base. At the Film Mart, there will be a 300-square-meter hall of Chinese shooting base exhibition.

　　For the Film Mart, the SIFF organizing committee particularly invites ten film buyers and TV channels from over 10 countries to purchase the programs on the Mart, including HongKongSAR, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, India, New Zealand, Burma, Pakistan and Indonesia. Hopefully, these TV channels will purchase the TV broadcasting right of film programs on the Mart. Among all the buyers, some major Chinese TV channels will also take active part in the purchasing, including CCTV-6, STAR TV, Movie Channel of SMEG, etc. Besides, some new media buyers, China Unicom, China Telecom and some air companies will also be competitive buyers.

　　4) International Film Panorama

　　With Shanghai Film Art Center as its main venue, this year’s SIFF will introduce two more cinemas as its official screening places, adding up to 27 screenings at 21 theatres, with 327,306 audience capacity.

　　To celebrate its 10th anniversary this year, SIFF is to set a“Tribute to the Master”unit, dedicating our respect to film masters, including Akira Kurosawa, Pedro Almodovar, Marcello Mastroianni and some old Chinese filmmakers as well. Other screening units will include“New Chinese Films”,“Focus on German”,“Zoom in Italy”,“Passionate Brazil”,“Japan Presents”,“Korean Wind”and“Classical Spain”, etc.

　　In the Panorama section, the Media Award held by CCTV-6 will focus on the development of Chinese films. A separate screening hall, where votes for the best Chinese film will be held during the festival, is designated to both screen and discuss Chinese contemporary films,

　　5) Jin Jue Film Forum and Asian New Talent Award

　　Since its establishment, the Jin Jue Film Forum provides a communicative and professional stage for the industry and has already become the only platform for world movie exchanges in China. This year, the Forum will land its emphases on capital management and film cooperation, continuing its target to promote film creativity and to build a bridge connecting the film industry, the academic institutes and the media. The Forum consists of three parts, namely, Theme Forum, Master Class and Asian New Talent Award film competition. The Forum will bear the responsibility of serving the industry and helping to promote the local filmmaking level, with its character of authoritative, multi-cultural and practical. 　

　　Being Authoritative: As a celebration event and a profound contemplation over the past 9 editions of SIFF, the International Film Festival Head Summit will be held to explore the function and responsibilities of various film festivals around the world. Our guests includes toppers from Berlin International Film Festival, Venice International Film Festival, Pusan International Film Festival, Tokyo International Film Festival, Tribecca International Film Festival, Rotterdam International Film Festival, Sundance International Film Festival, Dubai International Film Festival, Hawaii International Film Festival and Shanghai International Film Festival.　

　　Being Multi-Cultural: the Theme Forum will mainly feature in film financing in every aspect, from film investment, sales and marketing to film distribution. Other topics, such as how to create a multi-cultural film environment for co-productions, boost the market with both blockbusters and indies, will also be included.  

　　Being Practical: the Forum targets to be more helpful to the beginners and young film talents, with its new training function in Master Class, International Students’short film exchange, Co-production film forum, Pitch and Catch and Asian New Talent Award, etc. Judging from the submitted film projects to the co-production film forum, the quality of the applications is reasonably higher than that of last year. With over 200 short submissions for the Students’Exchange, we are positive to see a more fruitful result at this year’s forum. Students will be given training opportunities by USC film school, which is closed related with renowned names as George Lucas and Steve Spielburger.

　　The 10th Shanghai International Film Festival features at its integrity and is glamorous with celebrities and superstars on the Red Carpet, great films screened, buyers at the booming film mart, variety of competitions films in different styles and content, discussions at forums and anxious anticipations for awards…All of the above will be mind blowing culture scenery for Shanghai at the beginning of another enthusiastic summer.
